"Discipleship Alive" is July 25-31, 2010
This is a unique camp for anyone in 7th-12th grades plus college students and parents. Most workcamps/mission trips travel to a far away destination, sleep on school floors, eat school cafeteria food, and have a few hours for limited free time options. This camp is different.

Check out all these wonderful things you can expect at camp July 25-31, 2010! Because this may be a new location for some of you we thought we would offer you a visual tour of what you can expect at Discipleship Alive. Crescent Lake Bible Camp is located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and you can view a virtual tour of the camp grounds by clicking HERE. Or, you can click on any of these pictures (each has a brief caption with greater explanation ---

The wonderful thing about Sunday evenings is watching Extreme Makeover on ABC. But, rather than watching it on TV we are actually going to do it! Discipleship
Alive has found a few families in need and during the day we are going
to go into the community of Rhinelander, Wisconsin to paint, landscape,
and build wheelchair accessibility ramps. We will meet our host family
and share lunch and devotions at the worksite and then return to camp
around 2:30PM for various free time activities. |
Discipleship Alive
is different than other camps and mission trips - you can water-ski, go
tubing, play basketball or volleyball, enjoy the archery or rifle
ranges, play either disc golf or miniature golf, swim, boat, fish -
just about anything you can imagine!

Each evening we will enjoy the style of worship campers have come to expect from the Alive Camps. Our worship leader is Becky Foster and our keynote speakers are Rick Kindschi and Pat Lannoye.
Just as in years past, our theme will continue to focus upon living as
a missionary on our school campus. it's always a challenge but you
will be re-energized with their teaching from the Bible.

Another unique feature of Discipleship Alive is we are no longer limited by age. In our previous camp once you were in high school you went to a different camp. And then once you graduated from high school your only opportunity for a camp was to return as a counselor - but only after skipping a year. Now you can enjoy the same camp year after year after year. There is no such thing as graduation. In fact, the accommodations at Crescent Lake Bible Camp allow us to host families with special family activities for children younger than 7th grade.
